Stub policy · last updated 2026-08-02 · not legal advice

ClearForge processes audio so you can master and download results. This page states our privacy promise for the cloud product at clearforge.studio. It is a product stub for alpha; a counsel-reviewed policy will replace it before broad public Free launch.

Privacy promise

  1. Limited process license. You grant us a limited license to process your uploads solely to provide the service (forge, previews, reports, downloads).
  2. No training by default. We do not train models on your audio by default. Alpha UI does not prompt for training opt-in.
  3. How long we keep files. Audio is deleted automatically on a timer running from immutable created_at (not “last activity”):
    • Free: 7 days
    • Pro (active): 30 days
    • Pro after cancel: purge at the later of created_at + 30 days or canceled_at + 7 days grace
    • Incomplete uploads: ~24 hours
  4. Delete account. You can request account deletion; we delete your object prefix, associated database rows, and cancel Stripe subscription where applicable.
  5. Transport & storage. TLS in transit; object storage encryption at rest. Object versioning off for alpha; lifecycle rules back the retention cron.
  6. Signed URLs. Short-lived download/upload URLs (on the order of minutes). No public unlisted session pages.
  7. Logs. We avoid logging raw audio bytes; filenames may be hashed or truncated.
