Terms of Service
Stub terms · last updated 2026-08-02 · not legal advice
These short Terms govern use of the ClearForge service at clearforge.studio and related apps (the “Service”). They are an alpha stub and will be replaced by counsel-reviewed terms before broad public launch.
1. The Service
ClearForge provides cloud audio mastering: upload a mix, run a forge job, preview, and download masters and reports. Free and Pro plans apply as described on the pricing page (Pro displayed at $49/mo during alpha). Features and limits may change.
2. Process license
You retain ownership of your audio. You grant ClearForge a limited, non-exclusive license to host, process, transcode, and store your content solely to operate the Service (including previews, metrics, reports, and delivery of masters). We do not claim ownership of your music.
You represent that you have the rights needed to upload and process the content (including any third-party samples or reference tracks).
3. Reference tracks
Pro features may allow uploading reference audio for match-EQ or related tools. You warrant you have rights to use those references. ClearForge does not redistribute your reference tracks in packages, public feeds, or to other users. References are stored under your account subject to the retention period above, and may be deleted with your account.
4. Acceptable use
- No unlawful content, malware, or attempts to abuse quotas, rate limits, or billing
- No reverse engineering of the Service beyond what the law allows
- No resale of the Service as a white-label mastering API without a written agreement
- No scraping or automated mass account creation
5. Plans, billing, and cancellation
Paid plans are billed through Stripe. You authorize charges for the selected plan. Cancellation ends future billing; retention of existing audio follows the Privacy policy (Pro cancel grace may apply). Free and Pro limits are enforced server-side.
6. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” during alpha. Mastering results are not guaranteed to meet a particular commercial or artistic outcome. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability.
7. Copyright / DMCA
We respect intellectual property rights. To report alleged infringement, follow the process at /dmca and contact dmca@clearforge.studio. We may remove or disable access to material upon a valid notice and may terminate repeat infringers.
8. Privacy
Processing of personal data and audio is described in our Privacy page, including no training by default and automatic deletion after the retention period.
